Santander and Vizolution Nominated Twice at the Credit & Collections Technology Awards

Vizolution, in partnership with Santander, are thrilled to announce that we’ve been nominated in not one, but two categories at the Credit and Collections Technology Awards 2020!

The awards, which are now in their fourth year, recognise the success of companies and individuals who lead the way in enhancing credit and collections technology, celebrating the best in lending and collections innovations.

Santander and Vizolution have been shortlisted in both the ‘Customer Engagement Solution’ and the ‘Best Use of Technology in Credit and Collections’ categories, for our innovative work transforming the bank’s automotive refinancing journey in Brazil.

Previously the affordability checks undertaken as part of the automotive finance repayment process would take a lot of time, with some of the advice particularly difficult to explain to the customer over the phone.

Santander Brasil wanted to make the process clearer for the customer, reduce the overall length of the journey and make it more cost-effective. It was also critical that the journey was mobile responsive, as 80% of sessions in Brazil are completed on a mobile device.

Following the implementation of Vizolution’s technology, advisors can now initiate a screen-sharing session, where customers are able to upload and download all documents which can be approved in real time, and sign agreements on a single call.

The average journey time has been drastically reduced from 6 days down to just 15 minutes, there has been a 20% increase in conversion rates and a 500% increase in first call resolution (on average five calls reduced to one). As a result, the Vizolution powered automotive finance collections journey is now the default process at Santander Brasil, with 60% of all journeys completed using this method.

An agent at Santander Brasil remarked “I was delighted with how it all worked and how simple it was to explain the process to my customers. It’s amazing how a journey that initially took at least 6 days has been brought down to less than 20 minutes.”

The Credit & Collections Technology Awards will take place on Thursday 19th November at the Midland Hotel in Manchester.
